#56 (new) Grindhouse - Planet Terror
The guests we had staying with us a while ago raved about this movie and thought we would love it (based on the fact that we had the Sin City comics), so that they insisted on buying it on DVD for us as a thank-you for having us present. I almost never buy DVDs, in fact I dont really get the whole buying DVDs thing (unless they're really cheap) since there are very few things I would watch enough times to justify paying to own them, so I tried to talk them out of it - unsuccessfully. Anyway the movie was OK, vaguely amusing, dark, kinda witty/clever, definitely not for the squeamish but we expected that, but not great. not enough to stop me wandering in and out of the room while it was on. and I keeping getting images of many of the gross bits in my head which is annoying.

Oh dear, just cant manage to get this one. Another month has passed and I havent even been close to breathing in that movie popcorn whiff. sigh. I hate to admit defeat but if a monthly task hasnt been done in 3-4 months I think its fair to say failed. So I will have to reinvent this task, I'm think one movie month cinema or otherwise and, to make up for failure , write a list of at least 10 movies I want to see and see them in completing this task.

one pair of shiny bright new cons bought, yay! Buying new Cons is always a bit of a dilemma, I really like them and tend to wear them a lot but I dont like to pay lots of money for what in the end is just a simple canvas shoe, and they're so overpriced. Normally I end up hunting around all kinds of suburban factory outlet places way out of my way and getting a reduced price pair in an unpopular colour. But due to heavy time constraints and a rare case of rationality (the wear I get out of them is well worth the money) I just did it without being bothered this time (OK I did check the prices in 3 different shops - all the same). My old ones were so gross went into the first bin outside the shop. Now I just need a few months of wear to make these ones comfortable

I opened up the cupboard last night to find that U had done this one for me, woo hoo! Done is done even if I didnt actually do it myself. But I will at least try to order it myself into sections for main meals, cakes, snacks or something along those lines
